Matt Shoemaker

I’m a third-generation Landscape Contractor with over 39 years of experience in the landscape industry. After studying Landscape Architecture at the University of Kentucky, I worked my way through the ranks of one of the nation’s largest landscape providers where I started out in the design department. I quickly found that my true passion was overseeing the crews in the field and working directly with customers. I’ve gained a wealth of knowledge from formal company training and through years of managing maintenance, and hardscape and planting installations of all sizes for commercial properties.

In 2008, I returned to my roots of residential design-build and maintenance as the COO of a residential landscape company, where I focused on building teams of landscape professionals to service residential clients.

In 2012, I started Shoemaker Landscapes so that I could have the freedom to be personally involved in all aspects of my landscape projects. I’ve built my business on developing long-term customer relationships and have continued to grow sustainably through strong customer referrals.. I work with my customers at every stage and am happy to help with all projects, big and small. My crews are made up of skilled and motivated team players, and we take great pride in how we treat our properties.

My top priority is providing excellent customer service through great communication.
